Well, the Whipping Post review has arrived, and I must say that I've lost a lot of respect for the reviewer. I expect some degree of fairness from folks and usually I'm not disappointed. What I got here was an immature review filled with exclamation marks, generic insults, and self-importance. But hey, the next time I feel like having someone tell me that 300+ hours was in vain, I'll look him up. Anyways partly as a joke, I have decided to subtitle Dying as "the most boring band in the world".

In more positive news, we also have other tracks up on our Myspace! So if you haven't heard "Weeping" yet, what's stopping you?

Finally, I've decided to put up full length MP3s of every song on the album. Check out the Audio section and download 'em if you like.

THE CDS ARE HERE! It has been a long, long trek, but the CDs are finally here and available for purchase. If you would like o copy of the CD demo Valley of Thorns, check out the audio section for ordering info. :)

I received the galleys on Wednesday. The booklet looks phenomenal (especially the cover). The disc sounds good -- allowing for the fact that it is a demo, after all. I'd say it sounds best on normal CD players (including cars) and equalized in iTunes. I should have the real CDs in a week. It looks like it's all coming together, thank God!

The booklet artwork has been shipped to the printing/mastering house. The golden master CD will be in their hands in a week. Yes, you read that right. Valley of Thorns is GOLDEN MASTER. Whoo hoo!

Merry Christmas from Dying! Over here, we are on track. The album cover is 99% done (I just have to add the band logo and album title). It looks doomiliscious! This shouldn't take too long and the CDs should be pressed early in January. Whoo hoo!

Although I finished remixing on the 28th, I didn't get around to updating the site until today. I'm going to wait a week or two and go back and listen to the material, but I think that we are at last done, musically, and this is golden master.

The remixed version of The Betrayers is now up. Heavier, less distorted, and more precise than before. You'll kick yourself if you don't give it a listen!

After many trials and tribulations, we have finally found an artist to do the cover. This time it's concrete with legal arrangements and everything. I've also been remixing the tracks to give them a heavier sound. (Ooh, you may start salivating now!) I should have golden master by Christmas and the CD released by January. What better for long winter months than doom metal?

CD booklet and disc design are done. I have decided to contact a real artist to do the cover, so I'm waiting on that. When she gets the cover done, then I'll do the back cover; the next step is to get quotes for 75 CDs (printing booklets, duplication, and cases). The closer to the end I get, the more I want this whole thing done!! :)
